I have the same problem as Kay. I made a full chart with all five categories (number, color, shape, filled, thick/line outline) and there was simply no pattern. If there is another category that I am missing please post it, if not there must be a bug.

kay, there is a similarity between the cards, you probably just didn't notice a feature of the cards that highlights the pattern or similarity between the cards. i had the same experience you had playing level 6, until i played the game again and noticed a feature of the cards that i didn't notice or realize before.

and i don't think they should reveal the rule if you were unable to figure out the pattern or similarity. keeping the rule hidden just forces you to examine and investigate the cards deeper in order to move on to the next level, which, in turn, could develop a person's eye for details.

By the Rules: The game is good, but there needs to be more levels of difficulty. Level 6 quickly becomes pretty routine and boring. If there aren't more levels, I won't revisit it often.

I also think like Kay that the game should show the last rule at the end if the user doesn't get the rule.
I had two times the experience that I went through all the cards and didn't found the rule (on of those times with noting shapes on paper).

I liked it, apart from one time in level 6 where I couldn't find the first rule at all, even by cheating (writing each card into a text document). There really was no similarity in the cards that followed the rule. Could that be a bug?

1. Will there be more levels?
2. How about something like a "see the rule" option at the end or after you've used more than a certain amount of x cards?

Seems like a good test, feels as though it might be good working through or warming up through the lower levels each round rather than restarting at the highest levels reached.
It might be worthwhile getting some idea of what techniques people getting to different levels are using. Like for perambulating rolling, crawling, tottering, walking, running are all part of a sequence and have some use. For example for penguin panic memorising where to move while its still is one technique and moving the directions reference with each turn is another.
