Free Brain Games: Announcing Name Tag
Lumosity has a new brain game and we wanted to offer you the chance for a sneak peek! The game is called “Name Tag” and targets face and name recognition in a classic “Memory” game format. We know, through user feedback, that many people struggle with this skill in settings ranging from the workplace to barbecues and hope that you will enjoy playing! You can find “Name Tag” here: Play Name Tag!
This game will be free for a short time only.
The URL for the game is: http://games.lumosity.com/name_tag.html
We welcome any feedback you have to offer and will be in touch with more new games in the next month.

Cool! Plays a lot like concentration, only you have to remember faces.

Name Tag isn’t very good because it changes the names of the people in the next round. How does this emulate real life? If you meet people at a party they have the same names when you meet them in the next room.

The instructions aren’t too good but I am happy you are introducing a new game. Lumosity needs many more games and I hope they are in development.

I actually found this quite fun, though in the 2nd round, I realized, “Whoops, I have to remember the names & faces from the 1st round!” (Shows you how much I read the instructions.)
As the levels get harder, I sure hope you start showing more people that sort of look similar (ie physical appearance). In real life, I think that is where people tend to make the most error (with remembering me, sadly, at least.. I guess I look like another Asian woman in the QA group!)

Although my scores were high (probably just lucky guesses at times), I found the fact that all the silhouettes looked exactly the same disconcerting. Perhaps if outlines of each face reflected more details, ie long hair, glasses, + more names and faces, this exercise would have been more challenging. I really liked the principle behind the game.

I have joined recently and have been playing Name Tag. I like it and think it is useful for real life. Practicing recall for names and faces is good for me.
I was wondering when the game scores will be part of our brain profile. Or are they already?
