If you are eating fish oil-that is neccessarily derived from fish-then you are eating whatever was in the fish, only now broken down to just the oil. (or squeezed out, I don't know how they do it).

So if that fish has mercury and other metals-which I guess all fish in the wild now do, they can't escape it-thank you everybody-so does the fish oil.

Also, fish oil is under no regulation, (health supplements aren't-at least in the US) so be careful anyway-if it's unregulated who knows what's in it? It's never tested by anyone to ensure it;s what the company says it is.

Before anyone replies that it is regulated or the companies take great care to ensure quality-they aren't required to, so just like the banks having less than stellar regulation, at least some won't have high quality.

I'd rather have fish fat pills, because fishes have heavy metals and other toxic stuff in their organisms, due to sea and rivers pollution.
