Improve your Planning skills with Route to Sprout

Posted on September 14, 2009

What are you planning for? Whether you’re making arrangements for a trip to the grocery store, a weekend getaway, or a year abroad, chances are you’re making plans for something. But if we plan ahead so frequently, why do our best laid plans so often go awry?

From a cognitive perspective, “planning” can actually involve several brain attributes, including working memoryspatial recall, and logical reasoning. With all of these things in play, it’s no wonder that choosing your next few moves in a game of chess can seem like a monumental task.

Route to Sprout

That’s why we’ve designed Route to Sprout, a new game that challenges you to move a seed to its planting hole using the most efficient path you can find. If you take the time to figure out the optimal route, you’ll earn extra points and give your planning skills a workout at the same time.

Give it a try, and let us know what you think!

It is a good sokoban like game. Perhaps expanding some levels to 3 dimensions would add further challenge or a more enriched environment to reward people for reaching higher levels.

I love this new game, though many of the routes seem very similar, once you’ve done it for a few minutes. Very useful to help me plan before acting.

Could get the site working but could not get either the bugs or the seed to move. What step am I missing in working this out?
    Thanks

I like this game but it is too simple for me.

The game suits my way of thinking.

    Please make it more complex.

    Cheers.

Sprout is a excellent game to logic thinking. It helps you mind to plan and not just jump to a quick result. I find the most challenging part is to find the optimum path.

route to sprout is too small for us older folks to see very well. I also can’t get how to play to come up

Great idea for a game, but I’m hoping to see more variety added – once you’ve done it a few times, the routes repeat themselves.

I like the game, but on difficulty 5 the levels just keep repeating. I’ve just had the same three times in one game.

Great games but when are you guys going to make the scoring functional for games like Koi Name Face recall etc… It has been “Coming Soon” for a long time.

The game is too repetitive. It needs to have more levels and have unique puzzles in each level. Often the games are just mirror inversions and therefore become easy to solve. Looking forward to a more challenging puzzle..

Have to agree with Tad. It’s fun and a good idea but way to easy at present.

Hey, add more levels to Route to Sprout! It gets boring doing Level 5 over and over…

Thanks for the fun game…give us new levels, so we can keep enjoying it.
