Real World Benefits of Lumosity Training

Here’s an enlightening fact: 97% of people who train with Lumosity for at least 10 hours see increases in their Brain Performance Indexes (BPIs). These BPIs measure improvement in brain areas such as memory, attention, and problem-solving, and more generally a person’s ability to recall and process information.

The question, though, is whether these improved scores translate into real world benefits.

The answer is yes. After joining Lumosity, users often report feeling increased confidence as a result of improved cognitive abilities. Dr. Anett Guyrak, a researcher at Stanford, reported last year that individuals who trained with Lumosity experienced enhanced feelings of self esteem.

It’s not surprising that training with Lumosity leads to real life benefits when you consider that intensive, adaptive cognitive training actually changes the way the brain functions. Using fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging), Dr. Shelli Kesler has demonstrated enhanced activity in the frontal lobes of patients who trained with Lumosity – activity that was linked to enhanced cognitive performance.

Lumosity trains the cognitive areas that allow us to attend to important information, ignore distraction, think faster, and remember more. Just think how improving these abilities could benefit your life both at work and home!
