It’s good to see Luminosity up and running reasonably well. I remember when you folks were starting out. I’m unsure how detailed you want to get with tests and scoring to create a true “map” of strengths and weaknesses. There are also many methods to stimulate cognitive function, of which I have experience.

I have researched and written on cognitive apps and assistive technology for 12 years, plus pioneered a dx monitoring method (DiaCeph) for hydrocephalus in 1997. I’ve had a shunt since 1992 auto accident.

I look to see smart phones be more widely used for their assistive cognitive app prospects, organization, memory, etc. Currently – only small percent of smart phone users adopt these apps. Historicly and still today, assistive apps come via special ed/needs and regional center services. I am working on a PR and public info campaign to merge special ed/needs (and seniors) with mainstream mobile phone industry.

Where do you see Luminosity going with mobile phone apps?

    I have 3 suggestions:

    1. I think that you need to have a user forum, a place for paid users to talk and compare notes. This would be relatively easy to set up.

    2. Studies suggest that different people have different peak brain times during the day, according to their individual circadian rhythms. But right now you just give users the ability to see how we do over 10 and 50 day periods. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to track our scores across 24-hour time periods.

For example, how do I as an individual score at 8am, versus at 10pm? I would love to know when my mental powers are at their best and worst! I can guess, but I can’t look at my actual statistics.

    3. Finally, create a more obvious place than this page to accept feedback and suggestions from your paid users. After all this is a paid service!

Thank you so much for your excellent program!

We are committed to support mobile platforms, and we have to prioritize based on limited resources and what makes most sense for our customers.

    Hello again~

I think you need a wordsmith to log into Word Bubbles and add more arcane words. :)

Every time I play I get buzzed on words that absolutely exist- sometimes they’re medical or professional words, sometimes they’re just arcane- but sometimes they’re obvious words, like the *correct* plural of a word I’ve already entered. I’ve started checking myself by looking words up after I’m done- I’d score better if the game had a greater vocabulary!

    Thank you! :)
