Sarah says:

When I was fifteen years old my passion for ballet led me to move to New York City alone to study with a prestigious ballet school on scholarship and to pursue my dream of being a professional. Classical dance is not only physically demanding but takes an incredible amount of focus, memory, multitasking, and spatial awareness. Lumosity has served as an outlet to truly improve these skills without any extra physical stress. It feels good to just exercise my brain for once, and I know the time I take each day to train my brain is improving my artistic endeavors. Thanks Lumosity!

Ryan (who emailed his entry) says:

I use Lumosity to make better use of my brain in every aspect of life, but as far as it relates to athletics, I have found several Lumosity exercises to have a direct application and benefit to my training as a triathlete. For example, the visual processing neurons firing while playing “Birdwatching” and “Space Junk” are the same ones firing during the swim portion of a race. Specifically when I come up for a quick breath and must quickly observe the locations of marker buoys, other racers and my position in the open water relative to them. All while also maintaining focus on form and breathing. When I’m on the bike, I also need to be focusing and form and breathing, but also on the road beneath me and any obstacles I may encounter along the way. I could go on further, but it’s safe to say that Lumosity has most definitely enhanced my athletic performance, and that’s just one of many reasons why I use it.

Thanks again to everyone who who helped make our Athlete Testimonial Contest a great success!
